Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:

He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 3:16

With Paul and his associates, we proclaim and confess this great confession. We confess and affirm that in God, by His very nature, is found the fullness of godliness - that is, holiness, justice, and mercy in all their perfections. In His Triune nature, God manifests and relates to Himself and His creation by manifesting these and other attributes in all their totality.

Like the Apostle Paul and the rest of the Church, we believe the reality that God is completely holy, absolutely just, and infinitely merciful. In the community of the Trinity, God demonstrates these qualities from eternity and then reveals them to His Creation in order to relate to it.

We confess and affirm that God the Son, Jesus Christ, was incarnated in human form - forsaking none of His deity, yet taking on full humanity. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and made His dwelling among us, that we might see His glory, full of grace and truth.

The Son of God, Jesus Christ, took on human flesh - equally God, equally man. He was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit and chose to humble Himself to the point of obedience, taking on human form to be like His Creation, to bring men to God by His grace, through Himself, the Truth.

We confess and affirm that God the Son, Jesus Christ, was confirmed in His deity, ministry and purpose by God the Holy Spirit, being filled and led and empowered by the same for the proclamation and establishment of the Kingdom of God, that by this same Spirit, He was raised from the dead and that the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit today is to confirm and proclaim and reveal Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Savior and Redeemer.

Jesus claims about Himself as being God were backed up by the Holy Spirit in tangible ways. Jesus received the Holy Spirit and everything that He did was led by and empowered by Him from the beginning of the Gospel declaration to the resurrection of Jesus. The Holy Spirit’s primary work is to reveal that same Jesus to the world.

We confess and affirm that God has borne witness to Himself, and to the Gospel by means of consistent angelic witness. That the message was, in former times, delivered by angels but that, in these last days, God revealed and spoke through His Son, Who is, Himself, the Lord of angels and chiefest of all God’s messengers.

Jesus’ life and message were, in the past, revealed by angels to men and they faithfully served the purposes of God. At the right time, however, God communicated His Gospel through Jesus Christ, Who is Lord of all, including angels.

We confess and affirm that the preaching of the Gospel of Christ is the primary duty and role of the Church. The proclamation of Christ, and Him crucified is central to the life and conversation and practice of every believer and member of the said Church. In obedience to the commission of Her Lord, the Church is to fulfill this duty in every part of the world.

Not only does the Spirit testify to the Truth about Jesus, but Jesus has given a mission to the Church to testify to the Truth of His Gospel in the entire world. Every believer has a direct command and call from Jesus to ensure that the Gospel is preached, and to push it to every corner of the world.

We confess and affirm that God, through His grace, grants soul-saving faith to those who repent of their sinful nature and acknowledge the Lordship and Redemption of Jesus Christ through the effective work of the cross, that this faith secures and transforms radically the lives of all that it converts.

God, by His grace, gives people faith in Christ, that brings their soul from spiritual death to spiritual life. They are repentant, leaving behind the old sinful nature to pursue and be changed in radical ways by the new Spirit-dominated nature, to become more like Jesus.

We confess and affirm that Jesus, as witness to His authority and power and patience, is seated at the right hand of God the Father in glorified majesty until the day that the Father has determined for His return. We so also confess and affirm that He shall return in the same way that He was taken up - in glory - to judge the living and the dead, and to reign forever as the Head over God’s household and people.

After the resurrection, Jesus was glorified physically by God and the Father brought Him to sit at His right hand as the ruler and lord of all things, until Judgment Day, when He will return in glory to judge all men for their doings and to reign over the Kingdom of God as its One and Only Eternal King.

With reverence toward God, submission to His word, and bound by His grace, we do confess and affirm all of these things and declare any denial of them to be anathema. So also do we surrender this and ourselves to God, throwing ourselves into His hands of mercy as the recipients of His grace through Jesus Christ.

In holy fear of the One True God and seeking to obey the Scriptures, as we are enabled by His saving and transforming grace, we reject any doctrine that is opposed to these and say that they are doctrines of hell. Knowing our weakness and humanity, we pray and plead for the mercies of God that have been purchased on the cross by Jesus.

To God be all the Glory forever and ever. Amen.
